OTHER FEATURES :DESIGN :i. Insulation : VT insulation is divided into two halves of windings connected in cascade. These separate windings are assembled on two limbed laminated cores, which is housed in a metal housing mounted in the center of the equipment. The two primary winding ends are insulated with graded type design and housed in separate 145 Kv porcelain housings. Insulator at bottom takes full weight of windings and laminations. ADVANTAGE of this design is that the thickness of insulation is reduced to half in each winding reducing greatly the chances of trapped air. The external air distance is also increased by nearly 15 percent. ii. Processing & Oil Filing : VTs are dried and oil filled under very high vacuum (0.05 torr), after going through rigorous process cycle at high temperature and vacuum (105 deg.C to 120 deg.C and 0.05 torr). iii. Ratio Changing : Different ratios of Voltages can be selected from secondary side only. iv. Hermetic Sealing : The VTs are hermetically sealed using Stainless Steel Bellows which effectively prevent the contamination of transform oil with atmosphere during its service life. Normally equipments are transported horizontally to site are not recommended for Nitrogen Sealing. However if very much desired by our customers it can be met with. CONSTRUCTION :The EMVT is central tank design having two numbers of porcelain housings one at bottom and other at top. The High Voltage Coils are wound with many thousand turns of high grade hermetic grate of super enamel insulated wires. The Insulators used are hollow types with alternate shed design as per latest IEC recommendations. They are most suitable for HOT LINE WASHING. The design is indigenous based on 25 years of experience in High Voltage Technology and its implementation in extreme climatic conditions of India. All metal parts exposed to atmosphere are either hot- dipped galvanized or epoxy painted. TESTING :All VTs are tested for routine test as per relevant standards. Type tests are carried out occasionally to keep the quality check. Facilities for type tests such as Temperature Rise and High Voltage Power Frequency Tests (both Dry & Wet) are available in our lab. PACKING & TRANSPORTATION :Considering extra height of the Equipment and Various Limitations in Transportation, the VTs are packed suitably in metal structures so that they can be transported horizontally without any difficulty. Metal structure also permits the VTs to be stored horizontally for prolonged time at the main stores of Electric Supply Companies without deterioration, which normally happens in case of wooden packing.
